I was born and raised in Michigans Upper Peninsula. I graduated from Gladstone High School and traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin to attend St. Norbert College. I graduated from St. Norbert with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Shortly after graduation, I made the most important decision of my life, to return to school to become an educator.
I completed my program at Western Michigan University with a major in English and my secondary teaching certification. I was hired at Northwest following my December graduation, and have been here since January 1996. Since that time I have also completed an additional teaching certification program through Michigan State University in Journalism.
I am currently advising the Yearbook, our NEW Broadcasting programs (including the Advanced program - the Mountie Nation Station), the Be More Kind program, and most of our school's Service Activities. I am proud to say that I am the coordinator for the GIVE HOPE Disaster Relief Programs. I am also one of the class advisers for Northwests Class of 1998 and the Class of 2002 and spent eight years as the Student Government adviser. Generally, I am readily available both before and after school if you ever have a concern, a suggestion, or a question.
